Prof Greg Viggiano
Adjunct Professor, Quantum Computing and Artificial Intelligence, George Mason University, College of Science, Washington DC
Dr. Viggiano is a social scientist, futurist, and technologist. with the social impacts of using new technologies. Convergence between multiple technologies are especially interesting to him because of the increased potential for unintended effects. These unintended technological effects usually lead to novel trends and super trajectories. He is currently working on a multi-volume series about artificial intelligence converging with quantum computing and the probable social impacts that will accompany the arrival of this new technology. Dr. Viggiano’s research centers on the use of new technology applications and the macro social effects that accompany them. He advises undergraduate and graduate research activities in these areas. Dr. Viggiano teaches undergraduate and graduate level courses with a focus on the social impacts of using new technologies – specifically the convergence between AI and quantum computing. He has more than 20+ years of experience teaching and advising students in technology-related areas.
